The american wrestling company dates all the way back to the 1950s when it was founded on Janurary 7th. In 1953 the Capitol Wrestling Corporation (CWC) was founded. The founders of CWC is uncertain but some sources lead to believe that Vincent K. McMahon’s AKA Vince McMahon’s father Roderick James “Jess” McMahon was the founder of CWC. The company’s name has went through many name changes which includes: World Wide Wrestling Federation in 1963 (WWWF), World Wrestling Federation in 1979 (WWF) and the one we all know World Wrestling Entertainment in 2002 (WWE). Ever since 2012 the company sticked with the WWE. However In 2024 Vince McMahon stepped down as C.E.O and let his son-in-law take his place as C.O.O. The reason for this is because as of right now Vince McMahon is currently in a lawsuit.
